Brisbane has quite a few good book shops, including preloved and specialist stores. Which is your favourite and what is the best thing about it?

I like Clarence Corner near the Mater hospital. It feels like a little oasis in a really busy area. It sells a mix of second hand and new books. You can also enjoy a great cup of coffee there.

Avid at West End has a wonderfully eclectic range.
Can never go past the café style book shops...
Riverbend Book Café on Oxford Street Bulimba is an absolute treasure, with a small café and lovely garden type seating out the front on the deck, and generous shelves of books towards the back to go loose yourself in
If you are ever towards Garden City area, in the shopping centre and need some time out from the noise or wish to find a quiet spot to meet family or friends - I'd say go to The Book Café in Garden City Westfield - it will take your old books and give you a credit towards some new ones (or second hand ones) prices are extremely reasonable for the 2nd hand books (between ranging anywhere around $7-$15). They have a lovely little coffee shop situated inside too.
