Brisbane has plenty of amazing outdoor pools for locals and tourists to cool off in over the warmer months - from Southbank's beach to the outer suburbs, there are so many slides and fountains to keep the kids cool and entertained, and lap pools to keep us all fit and healthy.

Where is your favorite pool to keep cool in this warm sunny city of ours?

Newmarket Pool is a great swimming spot for families, with different pools for toddlers, older kids and tweens. All kids will love the slides and fountains at this pool and they have extra equipment (floating climbing structures) available over summer.

Newmarket Pool is a winner- especially with the new water play area that has been opened in time for Summer 2013. $15 for a family of 4 is great value for a big day out. There is plenty if green space to spread out a rug and BBQ facilities if you want to cook lunch. We also like Sandgate Pool but find it can get cold with the onshore breezes.
What about Manly Pool...heard it was awesome...and hoping to go there sometime soon!
My favourite pool has to be Chermside. You have a lap pool, an indoor heated swimming pool used for activities like water aerobics and kids swimming lessons. There is also an extensive water park open on weekends and school holidays. The best bit about the water park is that they have a pool for the water slide. When the water park is closed it means that there is a second pool for lap swimmers when the main pool is full.

They also put on movies for kids

The main advantage is that it is right next to the Chermside Shopping Centre, Library, Parks and the RSL club (which is in fact kids friendly). So there are lots of things to do after swimming.
