Dog, dog park, brisbane dog park

Where do you take Rover to play on a beautiful Brisbane day?

What makes this park the best? Does it always have lots of other dogs to play with? Is it near a playground to help keep the kids entertained?

We just went to Nudgee Beach on the weekend. Great dog area, with access to the water. Only recommend for trained/ obiedient dogs as it is a really big area. We saw some people sturggling to get their dogs to come to them. Also gets very busy so would not recommend for young children.
The enclosed dog off-leash area at John Goss Reserve, Chermside West is great - lots of tunnels and jumps and an amazing kid's playground right next door.

It is great for dog owners that Brisbane City Council, and neighbouring cities and shires, provide off-leash areas in parks for dogs. In Brisbane city alone there are 120 with water for dogs, seating for those with two legs and waste bins with bags for doggie "waste".

Which one is best?

Well, the one nearest to where you and "Rover" live.

If you want to travel a bit further one day, then take "Rover" to one of the beaches where dogs are allowed. He will have a ball.
