Your choice: Jacaranda or Poinciana?

I just love Brisbane when the Jacaranda trees are in flower and then a couple of months later when the Poinciana tress bloom.

Based on the likes on Facebook photos of Jacaranda are much more popular. Most of my friends from other countries (including from South America, the home of the Jacaranda tree) say they miss the Jacarandas when they return home.
Yes, the Jacarandas are hard to beat - if only they flowered for a little bit longer.
Jacarandas in New Farm Park are simply stunning and the kids love putting them on each finger and playing gnomes!

The Jacaranda is great when its flowering, but the root system hoes to far and can damage things. But I do like the japonica as well
Neither. They are both introduced weeds which are pushing out our native flora.
